On this episode of Full Contact Fighter Radio, host Jeff "Wombat" Meszaros and co-host James Kellaris run down the week that was in the world of mixed martial arts. First, it's time for James to shamelessly gloat like only a true muay thai nerd can, as we reflect on Mauricio "Shogun" Rua's win over Lyoto Machida, the man who Karate stylists all over the world were resting their laurels on as proof that karate can, in fact, work inside the octagon. Does this loss totally, totally de-throne that idea? Maybe, or maybe not. For James, however, it goes down in the history books, chiseled into stone as proof that muay thai is better without a doubt. Then, once the gloating is over, we run down the rest, from Alan Belcher's win over Patrick Cote to the street-punk antics of Paul "After the Bell" Daley, not to mention the latest chapter in the book of Kimbo Slice, who has been freshly sliced from the UFC roster following his loss. Wait, let's not forget that there's a Strikeforce this weekend, as Alistair Overeem defends his belt against Brett Rogers and Andrei Arlovski takes on the giant from American Top Team; Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva. Plus, Kevin Randleman takes on Roger Gracie in a fight where Randleman will undoubtedly dive straight into Gracie's guard; like a midget tossing itself into the jaws of a shark. Tune in and find out what else fate has in store, or at the very least what two nerds think might happen. Then, hang around as Dan Miller stops in to chat about his fight against Micheal "The Count" Bisping, which is coming up in just a few short weeks at UFC 114 : Rampage vs. Evans. What does he think about Bisping? What about the main fight? Can Rampage and Evans trash talk worth a damn or do they just endlessly repeat each other like two very parrots? Have we given away the answer already? Regardless, take those wine corks out of your ears and listen in!
